Russia x Child!Reader - I need a home (part 2)

"There you are. All set." Ivan hands the thick stack of paper to the adopting agent. "I hope you like your new home, _________ Braginsky." The woman with the papers smiles down at her and pats her head. __________ smiles, a small, timid smile, the first time she smiled since she can remember.

The Russian has been raising her over the past couple months. They're growing so close together. He bought concealer to apply on her skin, to hide the scar below her eye. He also feeds her, so she's now at a healthy weight. It took awhile to get __________ to eat something. But she eventually gave in and had to try the food Ivan made. That borscht didn't taste so bad after all.

Since __________ is in Ivan's care, she had healed, and blossomed into a new little girl. She is absolutely beautiful. She learned to to laugh, smile, and enjoy herself. She doesn't have to be scared about anything anymore, because she knows her new папа is going to be by her side to protect her. No matter what. She enrolled into an elementary school, and made a ton of friends. Ivan is always delighted to hear how her day went, or when she talked endlessly about her friends. He is happy to know she is happy.

He never heard from neither of her parents, so he decided the best choice is to keep her. It's nice to have company in the lonely house he has to himself. Adopting her also means that she's a new niece to Ivan's two sisters, Yekaterina and Natalia. He remembers very well when he introduced them to ____________.

Yekaterina fell in love with the young girl at first sight. She instantly scooped her up in her arms and gave her a big hug. But Natalia didn't know what to think of the new family member. She was a little jealous, since she wasn't the baby anymore. But happy for her big brother... A little... 

Ivan was shocked when ____________ wasn't at all afraid of Natalia. ___________ had said that her mother was scarier than the Belorussian, immediately making the said girl smile a bit. They became best friends. A strange pair of people, alright, but they made it work after all.

"I'm excited to see тетушка Natalia and Yekaterina later!" (1) _____________ exclaims as Ivan drives her home. "Da, I am too." He says, glacing into the rearview mirror and catches her bright eyes, flashing her a smile.

"And I'm so happy that you're my папа now!"

"Yes, _________. I am very happy that you're my daughter now. Я люблю тебя." (2)
